Learning Log – “Blogging”

Setting up my blog through WordPress wasn’t as cut and dry as I thought it would be. I don’t know what I was doing wrong the first time but I couldn’t find where the settings were. They just weren’t there. I then figured out that I didn’t even have a blog registered yet. I had just signed up. When I finally registered my blog, I used my username instead of slm508nds and ended up deleting it and starting over. I hope I have gotten it right now.

    urgh, I am right there with you, this blogging stuff is not easy to figure out. But once we have it sorted, we will sit there and wonder what the fuss was about.

    Hey! Love the blue color! The widgets and ways to tweak our page seem pretty complicated. I feel like it’s taken me forever to get my page set up! What I want to know is what makes a blog better than a webpage or wiki or some other tool? I think my brain has a problem with the chronological order of blogs, but there is probably a way to sort the entries besides by date.

      Thanks Shawn! I was trying to upload a picture and that wasn’t acting right. I tried to apply my Creative Commons license and was having difficulty. I’m about to try again 🙂 I guess we’ll begin to discover the usefulness of a blog as we delve further into the course. I feel like I have to check into multiple spaces and that’s making me a little crazy.
